Our Solid Metal Finishes

Polished Brass

We only use solid brass, not brass plate as this tends to chip and flake off revealing steel beneath that will rust. If left alone, the brass will dull down over time. For an instant antique look, try our hand bronzed/antiqued finish?

Stainless Steel

We only use solid stainless steel as this will never rust and is incredibly hard wearing and low maintenance. This brushed finish is very soft on the eye as it is grained. The polished version is buffed to a mirror finish.

Hand Bronzed Brass

This finish is ideal for those who want a particularly aged look to their fender. The bronze is applied in layers, by hand, over a period of two weeks and sealed with wax to give this unique effect.

Hand Antiqued Brass

This finish is hand applied to give an antique look to the brass. If given a sample, we can do our best to match it. Like the bronze, it is hand applied in layers over a two week period and wax sealed.

Our Stove Enamelled Paint Finishes

Satin Black

This black finish has a slight shine to it. Ideal to reflect light from the fire. Not glossy.

Matt Black

This is a softer black finish as it tends to match slate hearths very well and absorb light.

Bronze

An alternative and less expensive option to our hand bronzed brass finish.

Gunmetal

There is quite a large demand for this colour. A great alternative to black especially if you already have a black hearth and fire grate/woodburner.

Our Solid Wood Finishes

Oak (6 Stain options)

Mahogany (6 Stain options)

The solid mahogany is used to make the base part of the fender. The uprights and collars remain metal. The mahogany comes in a variety of stains or wax finishes, samples of which are available on request. We can also match a colour if provided with a sample.
